Say Hello To Energizer’s P16K Pro Android Phone That Has A Battery Which Lasts A Week

The Mobile World Congress this week has seen the launch of many new phones and will continue to do so. Different people prefer different features on their phones. Screen size is important for some, some can’t compromise on processing power while others need a really good camera. However, all of them can agree on one account and that is that they want their cell phones to last longer.

This is where Energizer’s P16K Pro comes in with a huge 16,000 mAh battery. Compared to this, the batteries of Galaxy S9 and iPhone X at 3,000 mAh and 2,716 mAh appear meagre. Both the flagships are said to last all day and need to be charged at night but you don’t have that problem with the P16K Pro.

Depending on the usage, you might need to plug the phone in once every five days according to a rep from Energizer. The company also said that it will have up to something around 40 days of standby time. To get such a huge battery, you need to compromise on other features and one of them is the thickness. It is about twice the thickness of an iPhone.

Just because the phone is thicker than what we are normally used to does not mean that it has no decent features. The 5.99-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio (Full HD Resolution) has dual cameras on the front (16-megapixel and 13-megapixel) and back (13-megapixel and 5-megapixel). The back also has a fingerprint sensor below the cameras.

The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P23 and comes with 6GB of RAM. The internal storage is 128 GB with a microSD slot for expansion. There is also the option for dual nano-SIM card slots for people who like to use two numbers. According to Energizer, the phone will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo.

People are already increasing the thickness of their phones with bulky phone cases and if we think about it, having a little extra thickness for a prolonged battery life is not such a bad thing. It would save them from carrying around battery packs that are even thicker than the phone.

If you dream about the excessive battery life, the P16K Pro is just the phone for you. The phone is expected to launch sometime in September with a starting price of $500.
