Elon Musk Compares Himself To Buddha While Speaking To The Press

Elon Musk ended his years-long refusal to meet traditional media reporters when he spoke with mainstream reporters on Wednesday, while speculation grew about his Trump administration involvement. The billionaire entrepreneur who now heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) met twelve journalists from his previous media blacklist, including The New York Times and The Washington Post, inside the Roosevelt Room.

The sudden meeting occurred shortly before the Wall Street Journal released its report about Tesla’s board examining a potential CEO replacement for Musk, which both parties denied. The unusual media appearance revealed his vulnerability to the public. Musk displayed an unusual lack of confrontation when journalists asked about his departure from DOGE by comparing himself to Buddha through the question “Is Buddha needed for Buddhism?”. The movement became stronger after his death.

The reporters observed that Musk participated in the interview while showing signs of exhaustion. Jonathan Swan from The New York Times published an article titled “Elon Musk Sounds Less Confident,” which showed a change in the typically aggressive attitude of the CEO. Musk acknowledged that DOGE failed to meet its goal of cutting $1 trillion from federal spending, although it had managed to reduce expenses by $160 billion. Musk acknowledged that achieving the goal requires handling numerous complaints.

During his stay in the Lincoln Bedroom, Musk received a late-night caramel Häagen-Dazs ice cream request from Trump in a combination of quirky and honest behavior. He admitted to unintentionally dismissing crucial government workers when making workforce reductions, which generated opposition from both sides of the political spectrum.

Musk stated he would withdraw from Washington but decided to keep his White House office located behind an HVAC unit. He joked about his position by saying that the large computer screen made it more difficult for someone to shoot him. Through his press appearance, Musk left his self-contained environment to face external scrutiny about his leadership responsibilities.
