Geely advances AI-driven vehicle technology by introducing its new hybrid EV model named Galaxy L7 EM-i. The Galaxy L7 model receives design enhancements through an LED headlight group with through-type construction and a front panel that improves aerodynamics. This vehicle achieves outstanding WLTC fuel efficiency between 1.05 and 1.3 liters per 100 km and provides a maximum range of 1,240 km (770 miles). The car enables fast charging that reaches 30% to 80% battery level in 20 minutes, although a complete charge with a standard charger requires 2.7 to 3 hours.
The Galaxy L7 EM-i implements Geely’s NordThor EM-i hybrid technology, which exists in two performance setups. The first configuration of the Galaxy L7 EM-i features a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine that produces 82 kW (110 hp) and 136 Nm torque along with a 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor and an E-DHT transmission. The vehicle includes an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which enables a 115 km CLTC pure electric driving distance. The second configuration of the Galaxy L7 EM-i combines a 1.5T turbocharged engine with 120 kW (161 hp) and 255 Nm torque and a 107 kW (143 hp) electric motor that operates through a 3DHT Pro transmission. The second version of the Geely Emgrand X7 features an 18.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which provides an identical 115 km CLTC range.

The interior of this model comes with Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit technology that includes a four-spoke steering wheel along with a 16.2-inch co-pilot entertainment screen and dual-screen linkage and mobile connectivity through CarLink and Hicar. Geely selected the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip for its product line.
The partnership between Geely and DeepSeek enables the integration of large language models (LLMs) into its smart vehicles as part of its AI-driven innovation expansion. The ‘Smart Geely 2025’ strategy of the company focuses on accelerating AI-powered vehicle intelligence while developing digital chassis and smart driving systems to gain dominance in the evolving EV market.
