Apple Has Discontinued Some Older iPhone Models

As a part of its annual lineup refresh, Apple has discontinued some more of its products, which include the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max iPhones, two models from 2023. Although these phones are no longer able to be obtained directly from Apple, consumers will be able to find them at third-party retailers and online stores for some time yet. A lot of these outlets are running discounts to clear out remaining stock—presenting a fine chance for those partial to last year’s models.

The iPhone 13, previously introduced in 2021, has been discontinued by Apple with the iPhone 15 Pro models. The iPhone 13 distinguished itself by a reduced notch size and improved camera system. At the start, the price for an iPhone 13 was $799 but was later reduced to $599 after the launch of the iPhone 15. Apple’s present lineup comprises not only the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus and iPhone 15 and 15 Plus but also four new models of the iPhone 16, with the third-generation iPhone SE still being available at $429.

The AirPods lineup has been refreshed. AirPods Max has been replaced by Apple with what is essentially the same product but that now features USB-C, removing the older models from the lineup. Also, AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 are replaced by two versions of AirPods 4. The first model is $129 and features an H2 chip with personalized spatial audio and dynamic head tracking. For $179, you can get active noise cancellation and adaptive audio added to these features; it also gets a USB-C charging case.

For wearables, Apple came up with the Watch Series 10, resulting in discontinuing the Apple Watch Series 9. However, Apple has made little change to the Watch Ultra 2 lineup, with just an added new color option.

Finally, Apple has also discontinued its FineWoven iPhone cases following negative customer feedback. However, FineWoven remains an option for some Apple Watch bands and accessories.
