Another Tesla Has Been Spotted Wading Through Floodwater Like A Boat – Here Is Why You Shouldn’t Try This Yourself

WATCH: A Video Showing Tesla Wading Through Floodwaters

Another Tesla vehicle has been put to the test; the driver has attempted to take his vehicle out for a dip.

An insane video of the Tesla Model S has recently been out where the vehicle is seen wading through water as deep as its wheels.  Account owned by Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley shared the video on Twitter. A Tesla can be seen paddling through floodwaters.

The clip shows the vehicle powering through a flooded area that has apparently left all other cars stranded on the streets. Despite the car being fully dipped in a murky puddle, it still managed to power its way out.

This video is a shred of evidence that Tesla’s motors can actually turn it into a motorboat on four wheels. Although it is hazardous for drivers to take cars through flooded zones, as the vehicles could become severely damaged, we definitely do not recommend you try this yourself.

Notably, this video also reminds us that the company values our warranty and insurance claims. Therefore, whatever they promise is ultimately served.

Most car insurances do not cover damage in flooded areas. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk also claimed that the Model S could function as a kind of “boat” after driving the model through a flooded tunnel in Kazakhstan.

Even Musk has more or less confirmed the worthiness of its company’s vehicles. Back in 2016, he tweeted:

“We *def* don’t recommend this, but Model S floats well enough to turn it into a boat for short periods of time. Thrust via wheel rotation.”

Cruising through a water-soaked road, but it’s unclear if a Tesla will allow you to swim along with the fishes. However, its capability of paddling through several feet of water is an engineering marvel.

Maybe your next best option would be a powerful vehicle with an intensive compatible engine that can’t easily drown in floodwaters. But, as cool as it may seem, this feat is not worth losing your car.
