7-Eleven beat Amazon and Google to the launch of the drone delivery service by delivering a sweet, sugary, and cold Slurpee via a drone in the middle of the Nevada desert.
The drone delivery was made by Flirtey, a drone delivery startup in collaboration with 7-Eleven.
The Slurpee containing box was delivered to a home in Reno.
Flirtey has already made a show of its technological prowess by making a drone delivery in Hawthorne, Nevada and flying out blood to Jersey shore and back to demonstrate its ability to transport medical supplies in case of an emergency.
