The truck’s plans were first revealed in March, 2015 but the actual design has been disclosed just now. Mercedes (DDAIY) brought forward two versions of the truck, called the X-class, at a Mercedes event in Stockholm, Sweden on Tuesday. You can watch the whole event in the video below.

The first model which is a green truck is made for off-road and heavy duty stuff. The other white truck is made to be more of a high-end luxury model with a gorgeous wooden interior.

Customers will be given the option to choose from between the interior features, such as high-end materials and entertainment technologies. This amazing concept will boast a powerful six-cylinder V6 diesel engine and a full-time all-wheel-drive.

The pickup will come with coil springs for its rear suspension, similar to what Ram has been using in the recent years. This allows the truck to provide a better ride than the traditional leaf springs vehicles while allowing it to have a payload capacity of more than 2,000 lbs and a towing capacity of 7,000 lbs.

Mercedes revealed that the X-Class would be created in collaboration with Renault-Nissan Alliance, utilising the Nissan plant in Barcelona, Spain and the Renault plant in Cordoba, Argentina. And considering the ever so growing market of luxury pickup trucks around the world, a truck of this quality with a Mercedes badge is sure to make great headways in the market.
