Working in tough, labour intensive jobs can wreck havoc on your health and body. But other than that, it can also have adverse effects on your smartphone’s life and durability. All of us have learned the hard (and expensive) way that phones such as Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6 might be sleek elegant devices, but they don’t fit the bill if you are looking for a durable and hardcore one!

CAT, better known for its engineering equipment, has decided to take matters into their own hands by making a phone with functionality and durability as the key components and design and style coming later on. Their phone CAT S60 is claimed to be able to survive the harshest of conditions, much like most of their products.

The phone has a waterproof design, along with world’s first built-in thermal imaging system. When compared with other fancy smartphones, it might not be as elegant and popular, there is no competition when it comes to the functionality and durability of a CAT phone.

S60 CAT smartphone is waterproof up to 5 meters of depth, can sustain large impacts, and is supported by an IP rating of IP68. The phone has a 3,800 mAh battery, which is quite massive when compared with other smartphones. This makes it rather bulky along with the die-cast steel frame, but also gives you an exemplary battery life. The phone measures in a thickness a little over half an inch, and has been built to MIL Spec Defense Specification to be drop-proof, dustproof, waterproof and shockproof.

Although the CAT S60 might not replace the more popular smartphones like iPhone or Samsung, but at a price of just US $599, it will still attract a large group of clients.

For the people reminiscing about the good, old times of Nokia phones; this one is definitely built for you! You can get it here
