A research revealed that an average person produces about 4.3 pounds of waste daily, which implies almost 1569 pounds annually.

A New York woman has been dubbed “Zero-Waste Woman” after she produced so little trash that she could literally fit it all inside a mason jar. Now, she is on the mission to inspire the rest of the world with her secret to produce 16 oz. waste in two years.

Lauren started in her zero-waste two-year stretch when her Environmental Studies professor Jeffrey Hollender tried to impress upon the class the effect of their smallest actions on the environment they live in.

Around the same time, Lauren came across a family from California, who called themselves the Zero Waste Home. Thus, she found motivation to adopt a zero-waste lifestyle and vowed to reduce her environmental footprint.
