Watch Last Standing XB-70 Super Sonic Bomber Get Towed Out of Its Hangar

XB-70 taken out for a brief moment, and than to be shifted to the museum.

The huge six-engine bomber was out in the open for a brief moment.

The last surviving XB-70 shown in the video is a piece of history. And was designed in the late 1950s by North America’s Aviation. The XB-70 Valkyrie is a high-altitude, super-fast strategic bomber aircraft built to tackle the soviets if a nuclear war started.

The aircraft flew at Mach 3 with six of its engines and got to an altitude of 70,000 feet. However, it was canceled by Pentagon due to it being expensive and too hard to develop along with other technical issues.

The surviving Valkyrie is destined to become a research test plane and will later be transferred to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, Dayton, Ohio.

The video clip was from October when the last standing Valkyrie XB-70 was taken out of its regular space where it has been resting for years now. It was towed using an airplane tractor and was taken outside on its wheels. Museum’s media staff captured the exciting moment and posted it online.

This strategic bomber is still a machine capable of doing some destruction. Watch the video as it looks just the new, even today!
