Watch Frances’s New 248 MPH Speeding, Deadly Kamikaze Drone In Action

French company EOS Technologie introduces its latest innovation, the ‘kamikaze’ drone Veloce 330, commissioned by France’s procurement agency.

The Veloce 330 drone from EOS Technologies has drawn notice for its remarkable speed and features. This remotely controlled munition (MTO), which was put into service by France’s Direction générale de l’armement (DGA), demonstrates remarkable performance. In flight testing, it covered 31 miles (50 km) in 16 minutes at a speed of 248.55 mph.

France has not historically placed much emphasis on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), particularly those that carry loitering weapons. But new efforts—like the DGA’s 2022 launch of Colibri and Larinae, for example—indicate a change in the direction of improving UAV capabilities. Furthermore, agreements made in 2023 with business partners like TRAAK and Nexter Arrowtech highlight France’s dedication to creating cutting-edge drone technology.

In addition to its ability to do vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), the Veloce 330 has a core that generates charge to neutralize active defences. It has a TRAAK-developed navigation system that is jamming-resistant and GPS-independent, which increases operational reliability. Furthermore, by detecting cars up to 9 miles distant during the day and about 2 miles away at night, its optronic sphere facilitates intelligence missions.

Moreover, KNDS France prioritizes human participation in targeting decision-making, guaranteeing that the munition does not execute automated missions. This approach minimizes military personnel’s training time and aligns with France’s focus on simple-to-operate UAVs.

Moreover, the country’s investment in creating its loitering bombs shows its commitment to both military innovation and self-defence, particularly in light of conflicts like the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine that highlight the strategic significance of unmanned aircraft systems.
