Watch This Astronaut Throw A Football In Space That Travels 564,644 Yards

Football in space

You don’t have to be physically present on Earth to be excited about the Super Bowl. Probably, this is the principle which our astronauts follow at the International Space Station.

An astronaut at the ISS space station just threw a football at zero gravity in the ISS which traveled a distance of 564,644 yards. The ISS orbits the earth at a speed of 17,500 mph. The video editors calculated the speed of the ball to be 8,800 yards per second. It was observed that the speed and the distance of the ball are dependent on the orbiting speed of ISS.

NASA just released a video of what they like to call a Zero G Hail Gravity Pass. Watch the action happen at the ISS.
