Watch A Small Plane Thread The Needle Between Two Jetliners

Watch This Small Plane Thread The Needle Between Two Jetliners

On August 4, a plane made an emergency landing attempt and crashed at Cotswold Airport near Gloucestershire, England. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has launched its investigation into the matter, which saw an aircraft overshoot the runway before ending up in a ditch on the A429.

Fortunately, there was no traffic on the road, and the two only suffered minor injuries. Nevertheless, they were sent in ambulances to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

“Shortly after 10.30 am today, we responded to reports of a light aircraft which appeared to have overshot the runway at Cotswold Airport, ending up in a ditch beside the A429. The road is likely to be closed for several hours to allow the removal of fuel and debris,” a police spokesperson said.

In the video, the jet makes a difficult landing before speeding between two parked planes, nearly missing both. Its wing tip can be seen smashing after colliding with the front wheel of the Red Wing Airbus before crashing through the airport fence.

Precisely what caused the emergency landing is still unknown. However, something went terribly wrong that the pilot had to make such an attempt. Unfortunately, the AAIB’s inquiry is still not finished; therefore, we need to wait to know the actual cause.

Fortunately, nobody was hurt, and no vehicles were hit by the jet as it soared over the road, leaving only the passengers uninjured.
