US President Donald Trump has been all the rage ever since the campaign for the 2016 US elections started. He has been the center of a gazillion memes all this time and apparently, Vice President Mark Pence felt like he was missing out. Mark Pence made a visit to the NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and toured the entire facility. Who knew he would made a mistake that brought him a lot of meme fame.
On the facility tour, he touched the space flight hardware with an obvious label that read “DO NOT TOUCH.” Yes, that was written in bold, red, capital letters alongwith an obvious sign. What happened next was hilarious when a lot of tweets started to pour in soon after the whole scenario.
Yeah, you can not get away with the offense of using wrong punctuation.
Kind of does.
This one became a favorite.
If all of us can see that, how could he not?
Not all of us find this very funny.
What is even this?
It sure is.
NASA did not remain quiet over this. They issued a statement the very next day that read:
“The ‘do not touch’ signs are there as a day-to-day reminder, including the one visible on the titanium Forward Bay Cover for the Orion spacecraft. Procedures require the hardware to be cleaned before tiles are bonded to the spacecraft, so touching the surface is okay. Otherwise, the hardware would have had a protective cover over it like the thermal heat shield, which was nearby.”
The VP is not as oblivious as you might imagine:
He sure can take some humor.
Until this gets old enough, memes would keep pouring in, and honestly, none of us minds. At least the Vice President does not.
