Toyoda Gosei came up with the idea for this shock-absorber dent-proof car in 2013. He was himself a manufacturer of plastic and rubber automotive parts.

“We put airbags, which are mainly employed inside the car, on its exteriors, such as its hood or fender, to protect the entire body,” said managing officer of Toyoda Gosei, Toyoda Gosei on Wednesday.

The car can also change its shape with the help of electrical power. It can also communicate with pedestrians and other vehicles using LED lights projected on the rubber.

“In the event of contact with a pedestrian, the soft body serves a safety function in absorbing the impact,” said the company.

The vehicle will be available in the market by 2030 as notified by the company.
