A full size, functional Bugatti Chiron was built using Legos. This creation has changed the concept that Lego cars are only made of plastic bricks with wheels attached to the bottom. The vehicle was unveiled at the Grand Prix Formula 1 event in Monza, Italy. The model is made of more than one million Lego Technic pieces. The engine of the car is also built of Lego Power Function motors and over 4000 Technic gear wheels. This gives the replica Chiron a 5.3 horsepower and a top speed of nearly 12 miles per hour.
The Lego Bugatti Chiron weighed over 1.5 tons and took almost 13000 work hours to design and build. It was driven by racer Andy Wallace who is the winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Daytona. He cannot drive this to get any victory but driving such a car is a victory in itself.
