This Street-Legal Aluminum Bullet Motorcycle Looks Like Its Straight Out Of ‘Alien’

Bandit9 Motors has introduced the second generation of its iconic EVE Odyssey series. The EVE Odyssey V2, with its sleek, sci-fi-inspired design and efficient engineering, looks like it rolled straight out of a futuristic film.

Founded in 2009, Bandit9 Motors has made a name for itself in the world of custom motorcycles under the creative leadership of Daryl Villanueva. The company has been recognized for its cutting-edge designs, including the remarkable Supermarine motorcycle and a liquid-metal electric scooter shaped like a backward high heel. Their latest creation, the EVE Odyssey V2, takes this legacy forward by blending avant-garde style with remarkable performance.

The original EVE Odyssey was praised for its bold, space-age look and is displayed in prestigious motor museums such as the Petersen Automotive Museum and the Haas Moto Museum. However, Bandit9 wasn’t content with resting on its laurels. Villanueva and his team went back to the drawing board to refine and improve the original design, resulting in the even more alien-looking EVE Odyssey V2.

“Just take a look at the bloody thing; it’s lean, it’s mean,” the team humorously described the V2’s appearance. Despite its sleek design, they added, “your wrists will scream, the seat’ll destroy your spleen and boy, you’d have to be keen.” The bike, which closely resembles a futuristic bullet, is crafted from space-grade 7075 aluminum for both strength and lightweight durability. The hand-brushed finish of the bike lends it a stylish, futuristic look, more akin to a work of art than a typical two-wheeler.

At the heart of the EVE Odyssey V2 is a 125cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine sourced from Honda. It’s paired with a four-speed transmission and a Mikuni carburetor, giving it a fuel efficiency of over 150 miles per gallon. While not the most powerful engine, it’s perfect for urban commuters seeking both style and efficiency. The compact frame and light body make it capable of reaching speeds of 68 mph, though the rider’s aerodynamics will influence its top speed.

The bike’s futuristic design is complemented by a mono-shock rear suspension and a custom front fork that incorporates a rigid exterior while allowing internal movement. According to Bandit9, these design elements help improve handling and ride quality. To further enhance performance, the forks have been slightly raked out for increased stability at higher speeds. The V2 replaces the original retro wheels with modern forged Marchesini 10-spoke wheels, along with a single-sided swingarm that exposes the rear wheel. The attention to detail is evident, even in the custom-embossed Bandit9 wheel nut.

One of the standout features is the frame-integrated exhaust system, which adds to the bike’s seamless design. The exterior also includes LED strip indicators, a vertical LED taillight, and aluminum foot controls—all elements that give the bike a futuristic, minimalist appearance. For those who crave a bit more performance or sound, there’s an option to upgrade to a titanium exhaust system.

The cockpit of the EVE Odyssey V2 is a blend of traditional and modern elements. A digital Motogadget Motoscope Mini display is mounted on a custom bracket, offering a minimalist dashboard. The handlebars feature handmade steel clip-ons and custom-machined switchgear, while the brakes and levers are made to the same high standards Bandit9 is known for.

Bandit9 isn’t stopping with the gas-powered version of the EVE Odyssey V2. Plans for an electric version are already in the works, and this new variant is expected to offer greater power and torque. While it’s unclear when the electric model will hit production, it’s an exciting prospect for a company that continually seeks to push the boundaries of design and engineering.

For those fascinated by the EVE Odyssey V2, it’s important to note that each bike is handmade and takes about three months to build. Whether you plan to ride it or display it as a collector’s piece, this motorcycle is destined to make a statement.
