Okay so maybe it isn’t a working model, it certainly looks like the real deal. The iconic Ford 1964 Mustang’s 1:1 model was created for children ages 2-12 at the auspicious occasion of Mustang Club of America’s 40th-anniversary celebration. The model made its public debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sept. 1, much to the amazement and astonishment of the onlookers.

The finished car weighed a mind-boggling 1,712 pounds, and it was over 15 ft long and 4 ft tall. Just to top everything off, the designers even programmed a real Ford Mustang engine sound. The team claims that the whole project took 1,200 hours to complete, and roughly over 194,900 Lego bricks were used to create this masterpiece.

Chloé Boehm, public relations executive at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, said on occasion,

“We’re delighted to show off our version of an American classic during MCA’s 40th-anniversary celebration. We can’t think of a perfect place to reintroduce the car that redefined cool in a fun, creative way.”
