We all know, no matter how advanced technology gets, the smile that comes to your face when you go through an old photo album is priceless. Instant photography is making a comeback as people want to be able to hold prints in their hand. With ‘Prynt’ they can get their picture printed as soon as they take it.
Prynt is a prototype of a French company that is trying to combine printing with mobile photography. Prynt will basically be a photo printing case for your phone. When you snap a picture with the Prynt app, it captures a video of the moments before and after you took the picture. You’ll get your print-out, but showing that picture to the Prynt app will also bring up the short video so you can re-live the moment.
We would all be lying if we said we don’t want to go back in time to the era when instant Polaroid photos were the coolest thing. With Prynt all you have to do is put the case on the phone, take a photo using the Prynt app and then collect the photo from the top. The case itself is pretty chunky, so you won’t use it all the time. It’s compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 6, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5. It can hold up to 10 sheets of paper at a time.
If you like printing every picture you take, it could add up since 50 sheets of paper will cost you $25. The Prynt case can be yours for $99. It will come with 10 sheets of paper. Its popularity was proven when the project topped its funding goal in under an hour. That tells us that no matter how digitally advanced our technology gets, people still want something to hold.
