We see things around us in the visible spectrum of light. A New York based artist, Thomas Leveritt asked these people to apply some sunscreen to their faces and look at themselves under a UV light. What they saw left them astonished.
Ultraviolet rays have the ability to expose not-yet-visible changes to the human skin, namely freckles, that turn even the most unblemished faces into dark explosions of dots. He also installed a LCD near the camera so people could instantly see themselves, and then to increase the effect, supplied them sunscreen in a cool demonstration of why you should probably never again step outside without it.
