The pods come in three parts, i.e., the first one is designed for an aquatic life known as the SeaPod, the second one for living on land known as the GreenPod, and the third one demonstrates an “EcoPod,” which is a true depiction of the green environment. However, it is important to note that all these pods have been designed by a Dutch architect christened “Koen Olthuis”. He has built them in such a way that portrays them as a blend of luxury and comfort. There is a wide and unblocked view of the fascinating sea out of the pods, which is enough to make your mornings beautiful and refreshing.
The windows of all three pods encapsulate an area of 574 square feet with a panoramic view. You would be amazed to know that for everyday essentials like food, drinks, medicine, etc., drones will be used to bring them into your desired pods. However, if you want to bring heavy items like furniture into your pods and update them with some impressive specifications, then larger vessels will be used for this purpose. Similarly, to collect everyday trash, a “self-sailing vessel” proves to be a good candidate.
The most noticeable feature of these pods is that they are based on advanced mechanics, which makes you open the doors with a single gesture of your hand. Not only doors, but you can also turn on or off the music, control the lighting, and all other house chores through this advanced technology that integrates sensors everywhere, which will get your job done.
On that count, if we talk about the pricing parameters, each pod falls within the price bracket of $295,000 to $1.5 million. It depends on you. If you want a basic one, then that would fall in the lower bracket, but if you go for upgrades and customized pods, then you would have to pay more. Last but not the least, the pods are currently available only in Panama, but the company is thinking of introducing them to other parts of the world as well. However, the first batch, consisting of 100 pods, will be delivered by the end of 2023, as per the company.
