Wobbleworks has recently released an updated model of their widely successful 3Doodler. The new 3Doodler Pro can create sculptures with copper, wood, and bronze.
3Doodler Pro is a hot glue gun, 3D printer hybrid. The composite material sticks are melted by the 3Doodler Pro into various shapes while an embedded fan cools off the sculptures.
The original 3Doodler was launched in 2013 following a very successful Kickstarter campaign, garnering a funding of over $2.3 million. 3Doodler Pro can draw with more materials like polycarbonate, copper, nylon, wood, plastic-based mixtures, and bronze.
The composites used in the new 3Doodler Pro are so rich in the respective element that the sculpted creations can even be polished or sanded.
3Doodler Pro comes with a sleek carbon fibre case and includes speed and temperature controls as well as a fan. The temperature is displayed on the LCD screen of the pen giving more control over the creation.
A portable battery pack and additional nozzles are also included in the package. 3Doodler Pro hangs a price tag of $249.
Wobbleworks hopes that the 3Doodler Pro will inspire generations of artists and designers with its latest creation.
