The design of the Nanyang Primary School and Kindergarten is a collaborative effort of Studio505 and LT&T. The use of colourful, rainbow colours is the most distinguishing aspect of the design as the coloured lines weave, intertwine and bend following the hilltop slope to outline a multilevel internal courtyard.
The school campus is situated in the picturesque hilly area. The design team of architectures aligned the new school campus with the hill slope while the building runs perpendicular to the Coronation Road. Thus, a big central valley is formed.
A large landscaped staircase lies at the heart of the school building where all the curving facades bend. This staircase is the easiest way to get to the classes as well as the “hilltop”.
Link bridges supported by yellow columns connect the two parallel wings of the building. The use of bold colours and some amazing architecture has offered these students a chance to learn and explore their passions in this rich and dreamy, yet playful world of knowledge. See more images below:
