Huge Cuboid Skyscraper "Big Enough To Hold 20 Empire State Buildings"

Saudi Arabia, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has lately revealed plans to build The Mukaab, a gigantic cube-shaped landmark.

The kingdom is currently enjoying an extraordinary development boom, and the Mukaab will be the focal point of the city’s new downtown core, known as New Murabba. The govt has released a film promoting the impending metropolis, which has gone viral on social media.

Mukaab is a highly ambitious project that will include a massive cuboid supertall skyscraper with a twisting tower inside that can hold 20 times the volume of the Empire State Building in New York.

The Mukaab, inspired by the Najdi architectural style, will have a first-of-its-kind “immersive” experience, owing to cutting-edge digital and virtual technologies combined with the newest holographic technology, according to arab news.

According to the video and Arab News, the project will contain a museum, a technology and design university, a multipurpose theatre, and more than 80 leisure and cultural outlets. In addition, the structure will have its transportation system and be located 20 minutes from the airport.

The New Murabba will contain 104,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, 980,000 square meters of retail space, 1.4 million square meters of commercial space, 620,000 square meters of leisure assets, and 1.8 million square meters of communal facilities.

The project is part of the Public Investment Fund’s plan to unlock the potential of promising industries, empower the private sector and boost local content, contribute to the development of real estate projects and local infrastructure, and diversify the Saudi economy’s sources of income.

By 2030, it is estimated to bring $50 billion to the non-oil economy and create 334,000 direct and indirect jobs. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2030.

The massive structure is already under construction. It will serve as the focal point of the Neom site in the Gulf of Aqaba, which was first announced in 2017.
