We all remember the controversy that surrounded the flamethrowers announced by Elon Musk. The name was later changed to “Not A Flamethrower”. It has been the most dramatic fundraising technique for The Boring Company by Elon Musk to date and it met its fair share of resistance as well. Musk just announced on Twitter that the first 1000 “Not A Flamethrower” flamethrowers have been picked up.

Only 20,000 of these flamethrowers were offered to the public at $500 each and they were sold out within 4 days of their launch. Musk posted pictures of customers with their flamethrowers on his Twitter account. People were having fun with the flamethrowers with their kids in the pram.

No matter how controversial it is, it draws the attention of the public towards The Boring Company and their endeavours. These flamethrowers alone raised $10 million in sales. Recently, Musk announced that he has partnered with 31 investors to raise over $113 million to continue his digging expeditions. We will have to wait and see how successful these ventures actually are.
Flamethrower obv best way to light your fireplace/BBQ. No more need to use a dainty “match” to ignite! If no wood, just drop your flamethrower in fire place! It will generate way more warmth than a quaint pile of logs.
