The dinosaur egg museum is located in the Hubei province of China. The museum was designed by Baofeng Li, Jianmin Ding, and Changshun Xu from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The 10-square-kiolmeters facility has been designed in accordance with the terrain and the features of the Hubei province.

The angular form of the dinosaur egg museum reminds one of the dinosaurs themselves. The effect is reinforced by the rough, craggy exterior made from cast-in-situ concrete cast over a bamboo frame.

The world’s largest dinosaur egg museum is located in the Qinglong Mountain National Geological Park. The form and layout of the structure were determined by the placement of the dinosaur eggs as old as 70 million years.

The roof of the 70-meter-long museum has been constructed using the reclaimed tiles left by the local villagers as well as the 800-years-old trees. The museum is kept naturally cool by the double façade of the concrete and tiles.

A series of raised walkways takes the visitors through the dinosaur egg exhibitions. Small lights dimly illuminate the fossilised eggs. Natural ventilation is ensured by the grills punctuating the roof. The clean lines and minimalist design give a mysterious aura to the dragon egg museum transporting the visitors to the prehistoric world.
