The new tallest building in Thailand is the massive 77-storey-tall MahaNakhon tower in Bangkok which recently opened to the public. The spiralling pixelated façade of the 1030-foot-tall tower is mesmerising.
Designed by Büro Ole Scheeren, the MahaNakhon tower will house bars, restaurants, and other hospitality units along with 200 condos. The distinctive feature of the project is the pixelated front meant to provide a glimpse at the inner life of the structure.
The carved façade forms balconies offering a great view of the Bangkok skyline. A vast space for public gardens and a transportation hub is also the part of the MahaNakhon tower.
The building was inaugurated with a charming light show. See more images of the building below:
MahaNakhon tower is currently the tallest building in Thailand.
However, it will soon be overtaken by the Rama IX Super Tower that will be twice as high as the MahaNakhon tower and will be completed in 2019.
