The Smart era has begun and everything that we make use of is becoming smarter. The advent of smartphone has made this all possible and today, we stand amazed at how much we have progressed when it comes to advancement in technology.
Last Sunday, 2014 International CES show was organized in Las Vegas. The gadget we will be talking about today was unveiled at the show and it is – how to put it – amazing! Say hello to the Kolibree Smart Toothbrush. It will start shipping by the end of this year and promises to bring the dental health up to a much higher level than where we stand right now. The gadget will cost you around $100-200 based upon the model you select. Oh yes, there will be different models available though there isn’t much information on the individual models yet.
Once you’ve downloaded the companion app and the toothbrush is connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth; all of your brush strokes will be recorded and accounted for. The data collected is analyzed by the app and this will help you to ascertain if the brushing was fruitful or not. The app is capable of catering for more than one toothbrush and involves a scoring system for kids and adults alike, hence encouraging the improvement in brushing habits.
Company’s spokesperson said; ‘It’s like a FitBit for your teeth. The more you know about the health, the smarter you can be about how to approach it. The same should apply to dental care and oral care hasn’t been updated in years.’
