A few days ago, a documentary was broadcast on China’s state television, CCTV that ostensibly discloses some of the strategies and sophisticated armaments which could be used by the PLA in invading Taiwan. Being part of a series known as Quenching, the documentary showed some really advanced drones, destroyers and missiles; this might well be a sign of what China will do to reach its goal for years how it has sought unification with Taiwan by force if necessary.
The movie, as reported by the SCMP, showcased a wide array of military technologies comprising missiles, fighters, helicopters, drones, and electronic warfare equipment sensors. The following armaments would probably be employed in an all-out offensive against Taiwan officially known as the Republic of China (ROC): Beijing’s relationship with Taiwan has been made thorny by Taiwan’s close relationship with the United States following what kind of support Washington gives to efforts to defend Beijing also measures in force.
For years, tensions between the PRC and the ROC have been rising. One of the most inflammatory actions was China’s May initiation of the military drill “Joint Sword 2024” surrounding Taiwan. The purpose of the experiment was to see how well the PLA could take over the island. Tensions in the area increased when the United States offered Taiwan $500 million in military assistance for 2025 as a result of these actions.
In response, Taiwan has been strengthening its defenses by acquiring weapons and ammunition in order to get ready for any conflict. The PLA is shown in the documentary neutralizing Taiwan’s defenses with long-range missiles, fighter jets, helicopters, and drones. Furthermore, an electronic warfare exercise that simulated attempts to outmaneuver opposing troops included China’s Type 055 destroyer. With this film, China signals that it is not only prepared but also capable of mounting a swift and coordinated assault on Taiwan, should the situation escalate.
