According to details released on the official Six Flags Qiddiya City, Six Flags has opened its first ever park outside North America at Six Flags Qiddiya City, and it is already breaking multiple world records with what is being billed as the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster on Earth.
The park sits just outside Riyadh and forms a major part of Qiddiya City, a massive entertainment and tourism development carved out of the desert. The broader project aims to transform the region into a global leisure hub, with plans for esports venues, stadiums, water parks, and large scale attractions.
At the center of the hype is Falcon’s Flight, the park’s headline coaster. It claims three records at once, the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster. The ride reportedly hits speeds of 250 kilometers per hour, or about 155 miles per hour, putting it closer to supercar territory than a traditional theme park ride. The scale is designed to match the vast desert landscape, with long sweeping drops and extended high speed sections.

Two other rides also aim for record status. The Iron Rattler is described as the world’s tallest tilt coaster, where sections of track pivot before dropping riders into the course. Meanwhile, the Spitfire holds the record for the tallest inversion, sending riders flipping upside down at extreme heights.
The entire park covers around 79 acres and includes 28 rides, along with restaurants, retail zones, and family attractions. Construction reportedly took about four years, reflecting the kingdom’s push to rapidly develop high profile destinations that can attract both local visitors and international tourists.
For Saudi Arabia, the launch represents more than just a new theme park. It signals progress on its wider strategy to diversify the economy beyond oil and position itself as a global travel and entertainment hotspot.
And for thrill seekers, it offers something simpler. The chance to strap in and ride what may be the most extreme roller coaster ever built.
