Samsung Just Launched A New Service To Deliver Devices ‘Within Minutes’ Using Drones

Samsung Partners With Drone Firm to Deliver Devices in Minutes

Samsung’s new collaboration will deliver Samsung devices to doorsteps in under ‘three-minutes,’ and that too, contact-free. The service is only limited to Oranmore, Ireland for now, but soon is expected to extend to other places if it goes as planned.

Samsung announced its recent partnership with Manna Drone Delivery to deliver online orders. The drone delivery company is soon expected to sign deals with other tech giants like Google, Amazon, and Uber to provide their products’ swift delivery service worldwide.

The collaboration will see online purchases delivered by drone within a span of three minutes in the town of Oranmore, where the project is under its first trials.

The move sees “drone delivery made available to Irish customers when purchasing the latest range of Galaxy devices (including the S21 Ultra, the Galaxy Buds Pro, the Galaxy Tab S7, the Galaxy Watch 3, and Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy A Series),” the South Korean mobile giant explained in a press statement.

The Manna Drone Delivery service delivers products using customized drones that go to the altitudes of 262 feet and speeds more than 60 km/h to make swift contact-free deliveries according to the Covid-19 SOP’s.

Manna Drone Delivery Company is not only collaborating with tech giants, but it has also been working with U.K supermarket giant Tesco and other such businesses to make contact-free and swift deliveries, including groceries, medicine, books, and a lot of other stuff.

“Superior customer experience is at the heart of what we do, and with this new service, we are embracing what we believe will be the future of retail,” Eamonn Grant, Head of Online for Samsung Ireland, said. “In the current environment, there is no better time to provide a contactless alternative to ‘click and collect,’ and we are really thrilled to be partnering with Manna to achieve this.”

The drone delivery service is confined to Oranmore for now; however, upon its success with Samsung, it is expected to increase its partnerships horizons by collaborating with other companies such as Uber, Amazon, along with many start-up companies already showing greater interests in the VTOL drone delivery service for safer and swifter deliveries to doorsteps.
