For those of you who are not aware; Taycan sports car is the first all-electric production vehicle by Porsche. According to the Porsche human-resources manager Andreas Haffner, Porsche has already received 30,000 reservations for the electric Taycan sports car. She gave this statement to the German publication Handelsblatt, ‘There are 30,000 orders for the Taycan.’
According to Handelsblatt, reserving a Taycan sports car by Porsche requires a deposit of around $2,800. A Porsche representative has also said that more than 20,000 people all over the world have shown ‘serious interest’ in purchasing the first all-electric production vehicle by Porsche. However, the representative also said that these people have only had their names placed on a list of potential customers via the Porsche dealership. Having your name added to the list does not require any deposit, as per the representative.
Back in March, Porsche had stated that it was bumping up the production of the Taycan because of the high demand for the car. Deliveries for the all-electric car are slated for the end of this year. So far, what we know about the vehicle includes the fact that it will be the very first all-electric production vehicle by Porsche.
Furthermore, Porsche has claimed that it will have more than 600 horsepower and will have the ability to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3.5 seconds. It will have a range of more than 310 miles in a single charge and will be able to go more than 60 miles after a four-minute charge. The care company has further said that the interior will come with a variety of high-tech features, including a digital instrument panel that will deliver the movements of the driver.
Porsche has further said that the lithium-ion battery will run along the complete length of the vehicle for making sure that there is an even distribution of the weight. The car will have a price tag of around $90,000.
