All of us that have traveled in planes and even those that haven’t know that the plane has no windows. One particular 25-year-old passenger surnamed Chen was unaware of the fact. As he was sitting in the plane, waiting to take off, he felt stifled by the heat and opened the plane’s emergency door to get a breath of fresh air.

As he pulled the handle beside his seat expecting the window to roll down, he was not expecting the entire wall to collapse and the emergency slide being deployed. “Because it was so stuffy, so hot on the plane, I just pushed down on the window handle beside me. When the door fell out, I panicked,” the defaulter claimed.

The passenger was detained afterwards and he claimed that he was unaware of the fact that the handle just beside his seat was part of the plane’s emergency door. He said that his intentions were to just roll down the window as it was getting hot and stuffy inside the plane.

The passenger will be spending 15 days behind bars and is also facing the possibility of a fine. The airline that has not been named suffered 11,000 in losses because of his mistake. If the passenger is not placed on China’s infamous travel blacklist, he will most definitely never be cracking windows ever again.
