Nvidia’s RTX 40-series GPUs have been announced officially. The RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 are now official after months of speculation and recent teasing from Nvidia.
GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards are fast, driven by the new ultra-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace, 3rd generation RTX architecture, delivering gamers and creators a quantum jump in performance, AI-powered visuals, more immersive gaming experiences, and the quickest content production workflows.
The new releases enhance gaming performance by up to 2X, and developers may boost performance by up to 4X in fully ray-traced titles by leveraging DLSS 3 and recent Ada advancements. In addition, GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards deliver up to 2X the performance in 3D rendering, video export speed, and AI tools in creative apps.
Moreover, your system will be able to render completely realistic, fully ray-traced worlds at the highest resolutions, with astounding levels of detail and performance, thanks to the new GeForce RTX 4090 and GeForce RTX 4080. Portal with RTX, NVIDIA Racer RTX, and Cyberpunk 2077’s new Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode will be available shortly, showcasing the fantastic experiences developers can now create with GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards.
Ada also powers new features that further enhance your experience. For instance, NVIDIA DLSS 3 multiplies frame rates using the latest Optical Flow Accelerator; NVIDIA RTX Remix enables you to easily make incredible mods with ray tracing and DLSS for classic games, like Portal with RTX; Shader Execution Reordering revolutionizes ray-traced rendering; AV1 dual encoders speed up video exports by up to 2X, and significantly improve quality in live streams and video calls.
The benefits of Ada extend to existing features, too. NVIDIA Reflex makes your games even more responsive for gamers, with system latency as low as ten milliseconds in top esports titles. GeForce Experience can record gameplay up to 8K 60 FPS in HDR.
In addition, NVIDIA Broadcast, a free NVIDIA Studio programme that reduces microphone background noise and improves your camera for video chats and streaming, applies effects up to 2X quicker than previous generations. In addition, NVIDIA Omniverse developers benefit from a 2X increase in real-time RTX ray tracing and interactive path tracing performance with Ada.
When you upgrade to the GeForce RTX 40 Series, you don’t just get the fastest GPUs; you also become a part of the most technologically advanced GPU ecosystem that uses cutting-edge AI and world-class hardware to enhance the overall PC experience.
The RTX 4090 will be available on October 12th for $1,599, while the RTX 4080 will be available in November for $899.
