Now You Can Control A Motorized Cradle For Your Baby With Your Smartphone

Smart Connect Cradle ‘n Swing3

Consoling a crying baby is an essential part of being a parent and the bonding process, but there are times at 3 am when you just wish someone else would come and rock the cradle. Fisher Price’s new Smart Connect Cradle ‘n Swing is here to the rescue. It’s a motorized rocking cradle that parents can control via their smartphone.

This swinging rocker paired with a smartphone app allows parents to select between six different rocking speeds, activate the overheard mobile, and choose from an array of songs and nature sounds. Anything that will comfort your tiny bundle of joy will be a blessing. The device can be adjusted to rock from side to side or back and forth, and can also be rocked by hand. According to Fisher Price, “’When baby’s ready to rock, just remove the rocker seat, set it on the floor and baby can enjoy either of two rocking motions.” The cradle also features 16 songs along with 3 kinds of nature sounds and a ‘deluxe overhead mobile with light-up birdies (one with a mirrored belly).’

Though babies often cry just to be picked up and this remote rocker might not do the trick, it can soothe them to sleep, or at least give the busy parents time to get other things done.

Users can remotely control the Cradle ‘n Swing from a distance of up to 164 feet. The cradle is powered by a wall outlet of four D-size batteries. The Smart Connect Cradle ‘n Swing should be available starting this fall with a price of US $200. How many of you are planning to buy one?
