Now that the excitement following iPhone release has somewhat subsided, here we are again to remind you that Google is all set to release the new model; Nexus 6, as per rumors. It has been almost a year since Google introduced the Nexus 5.
As per the rumors that are coming from different sources, Nexus 6 shall sport a 5.9-inch screen and shall also host the Android L, which is the firm’s next-gen operating system. If the rumors are true then this new release shall place the Nexus 6 right next to Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus that has a 5.5-inch screen while also taking on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 that comes with a 5.7-inch screen.
Specifications include a rear camera that will range somewhere between 8MP and 13Mp while the front camera will be a 2MP camera. If the prices are being based on the Nexus 5 then the price for Nexus 6 shall be somewhere around $400. This price means that Nexus 6 will be roughly half the price of iPhone 6 while considerably less than Samsung Note 4 that costs $825.99.
The Nexus 6 is supposed to go on sale on 1st November – similar to the release dates of the predecessor – and shall be released well in time for Christmas. The Nexus 6 will be the first entry by Google into the phablet market. As of now, Google is selling the 4.95-inch screen Nexus 5 and the 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet. The phablet will reportedly sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. This will enhance the performance and battery life whereas there are claims that Android L is also pretty good at boosting the battery life.
The gadget is expected to come in 16GB and 32GB versions as far as storage capacities go. Looking forward to this new Phablet by Google.
