According to TIGO, this choice ensures that the blade retains its sharpness longer, reducing the need for frequent sharpening—a key advantage for users who rely on their knife during extended outdoor activities.
When not in use, the blade folds into the knife’s 123-mm (4.8-in) handle, which is constructed from two pieces of CNC-milled grade-5 titanium alloy. This skeletal design not only gives the Dragon Ridge its unique look but also significantly reduces the knife’s weight, making it easy to carry. Weighing in at just 143 grams (5 ounces), the knife is designed to provide a secure grip while minimizing the load.
Moreover, TIGO even claims that the handle design “resembles the elegance of dragon bones,” though we might have to take their word on that.
The Dragon Ridge is designed for one-handed operation, offering users multiple ways to deploy the blade. A flipper mechanism can be engaged with the index finger, while another mechanism can be activated with the thumb, providing versatility depending on the user’s preference.
Additionally, the knife’s roller-bearing pivot system ensures that the blade opens smoothly and remains securely locked in place until the lock button is pressed.
