Musk also said that he had developed preliminary designs for a supersonic electric plane, but the aircraft is not important right now. He said, “Electric cars are important, solar energy is important, stationary storage of energy is important. These things are much more important than creating electric supersonic VTOL.” He told that his computer-brain connecting project Neuralink might be out in a few months and will offer some great advancements. He said, “Best case scenario, we effectively merge with AI.”
Rogan and Musk discussed the Hyperloop, living in a simulation, the dangers of Boring Company flamethrowers, potential failures, the complications in Musk’s brain, the potential of AI to be used against humanity and much more.
