Man Gets Stuck In ATM, Slips ‘Help Me’ Notes Through The Slot In A Dramatic Rescue

We all are prisoners of the capitalist system, but this man took this notion to a whole new level. Corpus Christi, a Texas man, found himself in a truly unique fix on Wednesday afternoon as he locked himself inside a bank’s ATM and stayed in their for two hours straight!

The contractor was fixing a lock in a room directly connected to a Bank of America ATM when he locked himself in with no keys or tools to get out. He also realized that he had left his phone in the car, so he now had to get creative or else he had to risk staying trapped until someone came to the bank the next day.

Local news KZTV reports that the contractor decided to start slipping notes through the ATM slot for the next two hours to the bank customers coming at the drive-through ATM. The notes included, “Please help,” and “I’m stuck in here, and I don’t have my phone. Please call my boss..” Many people thought that this was some sort of a stupid video prank, for two straight hours, until one man got sufficiently curious and called the police.

The police also couldn’t take the man out after they heard the muffled cries for help from the ATM, and had to wait for the staff to come in and open the room lock.

“We come out here, and sure enough we can hear a little voice coming from the machine,” Senior Officer Richard Olden told KZTV. “So we are thinking this is a joke. It’s got to be a joke.”

Thankfully no one got hurt,

“Everyone is OK, but you will never see this in your life, that somebody was stuck in the ATM,” Olden said. “It was just crazy.”

Not gonna lie, this story made my day. Absolutely hilarious!

In Japan, things are a little different though and they are way ahead of this issue. Fortunately, no one can get himself stuck inside the ATMs of Japan for sure. Check out in the video below.
