Man Dies On The Mount Everest While Performing A Stunt For ASKfm Cryptocurrency

Lam Babu Sherpa accompanying four Ukrainian crypto enthusiasts has lost his life while performing the stunts on Mount Everest to advertise the cryptocurrency on ASKfm. The group lost track of their guide while descending from the mountain. When the group reached the bottom, they notified that a Sherpa was left behind and perhaps be dead by now.

To record the promotional video at the Mount Everest, ASKfm placed $100,000 worth of ASKfm tokens in two nano ledgers on the Mount. It challenged people to come and get them. The plan was to raise money for the launch of ICO (Initial Coin Offering) by offering the investors an early investment by selling their cryptocurrencies.

ASKfm did not mention the incident in its celebratory post which stated, “500,000 ASKT will stay on the peak of Mount Everest for someone who is brave enough to climb the mountain.” While descending the mountain, the weather had worsened drastically and everyone had to care for themselves. Later one of the members of the team stated, “At the top of Everest the weather was very bad, and then we were coming down. We were going down to Camp 4, which is at about 7900 m, and one Sherpa was dying. That’s all we know. … He was behind us, so we don’t know what happened to him. We were going fast and the Sherpa wasn’t coming with us. He was coming behind so we didn’t see him.”

One of the Sherpas who went missing while coming back was later presumed dead. This is, in fact, crazy the way people are going crazy to earn the cryptos. ASKfm has challenged people to risk their lives for ASKT tokens and has encouraged crypto fanatics with their act.
