Ever heard of London crime lord Alexander Surin? He was once known as ‘Don Car-Leone’ thanks to his exotic collection of supercars. He is living in Dubai as a fugitive right now and a number of cars owned by this criminal kingpin havee been seized. He has admitted that these cars were bought with the earnings he made from his crimes.
Out of these impounded cars, four shall be sold at the Bonhams auction at the Goodwood Festival of Speed slated to be held next week. These 4 cars include a Rolls-Royce Phantom that had £800,000 in the boot when it was seized. Apart from Rolls-Royce, three Ferrarirs; an Enzo, California and 599 GTB are also included in the sale.
Don Car-Leone has been accused of acquiring assets via mortgage fraud, money laundering, and importation of ketamine into Europe and UK and tax evasion. He also gave up a number of properties along with cash totaling at £4.5 million. All of the proceeds from the auction sale shall go to public purse.
