What do you do when you have over 500,000 LEGO bricks lying around? You make a tower out of it! What are we talking about should be the question popping up in your mind. Alright, we’ll come to the point. A number of students and some skilled workers joined forces on 21st May and have managed to built a tower out of 500,000 LEGO bricks.
Guinness folks took the measurements and voila; the collaborative effort has resulted in this tower being declared the tallest LEGO structure ever built with a height of 114 feet. The ex-tallest tower was held by a group of student from Delaware with a tower height of 112 ft and 9 inch. The new tower, being called ‘Modern Obelisk’, has a Rubik’s Cube ornament placed on its top and stands 1’ 3” taller than the previous record holder tower.
According to Hungarian officials, the tower is a testament to the knowledge and diligence of the Hungarian people. The tower was constructed in Budapest. It has been disassembled now, but as of now, Hungary sure has bragging to do when it comes to LEGO structures.
