The Belgium national flag is a tricolor flag with three bands of black, yellow, and red. The straight design may be in accordance with the flag of France. The black band is closest to the pole, then the yellow band and at the end is red band.
The national flag has the uncommon ratios of 13:15, but is hardly, seen in these settings in other flag of the world. Mostly the flag ratio is 2:3 or identical ratio is used in most of other flags.
The formal information website states that the national flag measures 2.60m in height for each 3m in width, providing it a ratio of 13:15. Each of the lines is 1/3 of the size of the flag. The uncommon ratios of 13:15 may control from a 19th-century instruction by the Secretary of state for International matters that the formal flag is 2.60 meters in height by 3.00 meters long in size.
The naval flag of The Belgium has three colors in a saltire. It has a black crown with crossed cannons and a black anchor on a white field. It was designed in 1950, soon at the time of re-establishment of Belgian Navy, the British Royal Navy during the Second World War; it was similar to the white banner of the Royal Navy.
The flags are flown above the castles and palaces at the time the King is in Belgium. The flags are not flown when king is on trip to another country or on holiday outside of The Belgium. Therefore, the rules of the flags in government building are not strict in rule. Commonly, absence or presence of the flag is a reasonably very good signal of whether or not the king is in country or on the visit to some other country.
