Facebook has been focused on connecting their millions of users with the people at the helm of affairs for quite a while, first with the “Chat with Obama” feature on Facebook Messenger and now a reminiscence of what Facebook wants eventually to turn into, a Town Hall.

Zuckerberg introduced the latest Town Hall feature on Monday, which might very well be the social network’s most impactful addition yet. The option allows you to find your local government representatives according to your location, find their fan pages and even contact them to convey your comments, complaints or suggestions.

This is how it works:

1. Switch to Setting pages on the mobile app and find the “Town Hall” tab or go to facebook.com/townhall.

2. Enter your location, especially the zip code, which will help Facebook search for your local representatives.

3. Go through the list of representatives. You have the option to follow their Facebook Pages and also press contact.

4. You can call, chat and email the Facebook Page of each representative.

The move is part of Zuckerberg’s plan to increase civil engagement, and maybe some future covert plans of the tech billionaire who has dedicated his 2017 to traveling to every state in America.

Along with Town Hall, Facebook also announced the launch of local election reminders, which will urge people to go out and vote. This is a build up of a similar feature by Facebook in October 2016 that gave detailed instructions on users’ ballots and where their candidates stand in the US Presidential Elections.
