You might land your next job through Facebook with its “Learn with Facebook” program. It is an initiative which can get users more educated in a variety of fields and make them more appealing to their employers. The company said that the platform exists to build the hard and soft skills of the workforce. Many other countries are already using this program. The program rolled out in India in 2017 and then moved to Germany and France in June 2018. Fatima Saliu, the head of policy and Americas marketing said, “Our opportunity here is to ensure people are ready, not just for the workforce of today but of the workforce of tomorrow, so that they’re equipped to fill those unfilled jobs.”

Facebook has a lot of confidence in this program, and they pledge to have a million job seekers and small business owners using the program. Saliu said, “This is a significant effort that we’ve invested in for a long time, will continue to invest in, and will continue to scale up as we seek to train people not just 1 million people by 2020 in the U.S. but more globally.” Learn with Facebook is not the only way through which users can expand their job opportunities. Facebook has also offered jobs with Facebook in certain parts of Africa. The platform also connected potential employers with employees through ads and groups for various years.

There are no extensive coding or programming classes on Learn with Facebook. However, the course helps business owners to brush up on areas where they might be struggling. The trail currently offers 13 courses including social media marketing, digital marketing courses, basic hiring expectations, and how to develop a career for a promotion. These are the things which a small business owner can handle on their own.

Nearly 90 million businesses use Facebook to conduct their business every day. Dosi said, “For small businesses, especially If you’re juggling multiple hats, you’re doing many things. You need a simple place, a free resource where you can go and do this. And that’s really what the value of the Facebook tool is.”
