Elon Musk Warns There Soon Won’t Be Enough People Left to Populate Mars

Elon Musk To Pay Over $11 Billion In Taxes This Year

CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk has reiterated the point related to his concerns about the decline in the birth rate during the past few years. He has repeatedly warned that humanity is headed towards a disaster due to collapsing global fertility rates. And that was a bad sign towards his plans to create a city on Mars one day.

In a tweet, he has mentioned, “If there are not enough people for Earth, then there definitely won’t be enough for Mars”

His main concern related to the issue is “not enough babies”.Experts warned of a “jaw-dropping” decline in the number of babies being born worldwide. BBC reported in 2020 that fertility rates could lead to contracting populations by 2100.

Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has served to accelerate the trend, despite some initial predictions of the pandemic triggering a baby born. Elon Musk said at The Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council, “I think one of the biggest risks to civilization is the low birthrate and the rapidly declining birthrate”. Moreover, he has mentioned that the majority think that there are too many people in the world and they think that the population is growing at a very large rate.

Musk has also mentioned that if people don’t have more children, then civilization is going to crumble. The billionaire CEO has such big plans for our species. One of them includes sending 1000 starship spacecraft to build a sustainable city of almost one million people on Mars. But he is now worried about the plan that the fewer future Mars residents be born back to Earth. He seems to be worried about his dream of humanity going interplanetary. His dream may never be fulfilled.
