Elon Musk tweets and it sets the cryptocurrency market on fire. It seems the techno king also has a firm hold on the stock market as well. Reports show that one simple tweet can send stocks soaring for almost any company. And this time it was Samsung Publishing’s turn by tweeting about Baby Shark.
Elon Musk tweet a simple sentence saying that “Baby Shark crushes all!” and it sent Baby Shark’s stock soaring by more than ten percent. It happened during regular trading on Wednesday and no one knew why until CNBC pointed out that it was because Musk praised the show.
Musk has seven children so it isn’t a surprise that he is familiar with the popular kid song. By the way, Samsung Publishing has no affiliation with Samsung Group even though they share the same name. You can view his tweet below.
This incident speaks volumes about how much influence the eccentric billionaire has. Cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and dogecoin seem to depend on the techno king’s whims. Bitcoin is having a hard year after Musk decided to stop using it as a form of payment touting environmental concerns. Dogecoin is looking up since he announced that Space would launch the DOGE 1 rocket funded by the meme coin.
Elon Musk has been criticized heavily by experts and authorities for manipulating the market by his tweets. He also recently fell in hot water with the Security and Exchange Commission or SEC for making unsubstantiated claims about his companies’ share values on Twitter.
Baby Shark do do doo doo.
