In a predictable fashion, Elon Musk – the CEO of SpaceX – is back in the limelight once again with his tweet. This time he shared one of his old ideas that involved nuclear bombs and Mars. On Friday morning, the famous entrepreneur used Twitter to share his unique idea of nuking Mars once again.
We know what all of you might be thinking; Elon Musk is actually a comic book supervillain and has been hiding under the guise of development and science. However, we believe it is our duty to clarify that he wants to nuke Mars in order to make the freezing planet more habitable for the human race. It is an idea that he also shared on the Stephen Colbert show.
Elon Musk also tweeted that he would soon have t-shirts that will show his nuking Mars plan. This led to people coming up with their versions of the t-shirts, but Elon Musk didn’t stop there. He soon tweeted his own version of nuking Mars t-shirt. It is a simple black t-shirt that has a picture of the Red Planet. That is not where he stopped, though. He also tweeted a link to the SpaceX website where the nuking Mars t-shirts are available for sale within a few hours of announcing it!
Musk had published an article in the journal New Space back in 2017. In this article, he had discussed how humans might be able to build a colony on Mars in under a century. Two years later, SpaceX is testing a prototype version of its rocket to the Red Planet known as Starship. Starship could one day potentially take humans to Mars.
Elon Musk is known for his commitment to goals and achieving them. However, SpaceX did have to lay off 10% of its workforce in December 2018, and that would make it seem that SpaceX is having some troubles. Nonetheless, all the best to SpaceX!
