Twitter, known as X since Elon Musk’s takeover, has undergone quite a few changes. Now, X’s CEO says that the number of likes and reposts that people get on X may not be visible anymore.
The reason behind the proposed change is that it makes X look untidy as per Elon Musk reported Reuters. He made these remarks while addressing Morgan Stanley’s technology, media, and telecom conference on Wednesday.
“That is happening. Just view count, as proxy for the other metrics, will show on the timeline,” Musk posted on X the same day. This would be one more drastic eyebrow raising change the tech magnate would introduce since his takeover in October 2022. Previously, Musk proposed that X remove all article headlines for links posted on the platform to improve the aesthetics of the microblogging site. The same thing happened in October when Musk backpedaled the decision less than two months later.
“No, the title will be in the image overlaid at the top, with URL overlaid at the bottom, as it is now – no extra vertical pixels used,” Musk said when a user teased him for reversing his own decision. “I hate those giant, ugly URL cards.”
