Elon Musk Claims To Be The ‘Imperator Of Mars’

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has been suggesting that his ambitions even include establishing a permanent foothold on Mars. Musk has been known for his weirdness and eccentricity. He even claimed himself to be the “Technoking of Tesla” but now he has updated his bio and even added another weird moniker for himself: “Imperator of Mars”.

Imperator is defined as a person giving orders, commanding officer, the title of honor bestowed on a victorious general by his troops, a title conferred by the Roman senate on Julius Caesar and Augustus, and adopted by later successors.

Either Musk has been watching too many roman movies or he is actually on to something. Maybe he is hinting at another milestone for SpaceX or one of their soon-to-be-announced future projects? Or maybe he’s smoked too many or he’s just being weird.

Musk did suggest that one day with a thousand Starships we could be able to establish a permanent stronghold on Mars. Imperator is an ancient Roman term used for their commander in chief so maybe he wants to declare martial law once his Starships do manage to land on Mars.

I say manage because as of now, every single prototype of SpaceX’s Mars-bound rocket has yet to launch to orbit or even land safely without, well, exploding and getting caught on slow-motion video.

In the end, it may just be totally random.
